Description: A Silver Plated VAN BERGH Toast Rack from the Edwardian Days in the form of a Motor Vehicle---in the days when 12 miles per hour was the Speed Limit! It has a Steering Wheel and a Lamp on the Front. The four Wheels move round and it can therefore be mobile on the Breakfast Table. It Measures 12 cm in height 17 cm in length and has room enough for 4---Slices of Toast that is! A unusual item indeed!
The Van Bergh Company was Founded in 1892 by Fredrich and Maurice Van Bergh and in 1925 merged with the Oneida Company in America.
