A Really Rare Find G.W.R. Railway Map (1940's)

A Really Rare Find G.W.R. Railway Map (1940's)
Description: A RARE FIND INDEED! This Railway Map shows the GWR (Great Western Railway) system well before 1964 when a gentleman named Dr. Beeching AXED most of the Railway Lines in the UK from what this Map depicts to what the System is today! In the days of the Map (1945-1963) each Village & Town had it's own Station where the Staff were proud of their Station and used to keep it spotlessly clean & tidy, even to planting Flowers Beds etc. Sadly Dr.Beeching brought in by the then Government did an awful job to try to save the Economy after the 1939-1945 War. This is a rare, extremely rare piece of Railway History and a lovely item. To be sold at £185-a Railway Memorabilia Collector's item of it would make a wonderful Wall hanging in a Welsh Hotel Restaurant--it would certainly be a Talking Point. Can you remember these Railway Stations?? I CAN!
