Description: This is an Early Doulton Lambeth piece before the Royal came in. It is an Sarum Kettle and was something like the Romans used centuries before when they settle in Salisbury---Sarum being the Roman name for Salisbury. These were made especially for Watson & Co. who opened in Salisbury in 1834 and sadly closed in 2004 after 170 years of trading in Ceramics and Houseware. This piece is finely marked on the base and is believed to have been made between 1882 and 1895.This is in two tone Glazing on Stoneware.
